LEON HOUSE OFFICE
From a work place to a living place
Bouygues UK converted the Leon House offices, a 22-storey office building and one of the finest surviving examples of mid-20th century modernist architecture, into light-filled, high-quality apartments. Works included the opening of a double-height lobby on the ground floor designed as a working space with meeting room facilities, a concierge service and a relaxing lounge and reading areas. Revealing the original sculpted interiors was a big part of the works, by removing the marble that had been covering the work of the artist William Mitchell. Above, 20 floors of residential space offer 263 one and two-bedroom apartments for private sale, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows in the all living areas. Finally, the 21st floor completes the building with a communal rooftop garden to make the most of the stunning views of London.
