Crows Nest to central Sydney in 11 minutes

As part of Sydney Metro, Australia’s biggest public transport project, A W Edwards was awarded the contract to build the new Crows Nest Station, one of six new underground stations built to extend rapid rail services from Sydney’s north west, through the CBD and to the south west.

This landmark project, the most technically complex in A W Edwards’ history, features two station entrances, an underground concourse and platform located 25 metres below ground, a 10-storey commercial tower, vibrant retail spaces, expanded bike parking, and extensive public domain enhancements.

Officially open to the public in August 2024, the new metro service seamlessly connects the Crows Nest community to central Sydney in just 11 minutes. At peak, the line accommodates up to 40,000 passengers per hour with a train available every four minutes.

Designed with a 100-year lifespan, Crows Nest Metro Station is a testament to the Bouygues Group’s expertise and dedication to delivering world-class infrastructure.
