On the footseps of ER and Grey’s Anatomy
With its ultra-modern healthcare facilities, treatment and diagnosis centre, pharmacy, operating theatres and intensive care units, the North Middlesex University Hospital is a jewel of western medicine and surgery.
The new north London hospital (in the borough of Enfield), brand new and fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, opened its doors on 28 May 2010 and serves an area of about 500,000 people. Designed over four floors totalling 30,000 m², it has 150 beds. Ecovert FM, a subsidiary of Bouygues UK, will operate and maintain it for 30 years.
This is the fourth hospital to have been constructed by Bouygues UK under a PFI, following Barnet, West Middlesex and Central Middlesex. The company has since signed off on the Broomfield Hospital, its second-largest operation in the United Kingdom after the Home Office.

Prize-winning company. In 2011, Bouygues UK received 6 awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents for projects in Brent, Broomfield Hospital, North Middlesex University Hospital, Tower Hamlets BSF, Waltham Forest BSF and Westminster BSF.
